MAYOR NACAR WINS LMP
After Mayor Rodrigo M. Orduña of Bugallon left the post of presidency of the League of Municipalities (LMP) Pan
gasinan Chapter, nobody from among the members would want to occupy the seat; not even Mayor Ernesto Jonas Castañeda of Lingayen, elected Vice-President of the League; hence, the election at Lennox Hotel & Restaurant, Dagupan City on July 15, 2011.
Honorable Noel A. Nacar, Municipal Mayor of Dasol, Pangasinan prevailed over his opponent Mayor Teodoro “Teddy” Cruz of Mangatarem in a twenty-one over seventeen (21/17) votes.
“I ran for presidency not for my own prestige nor for my own interest; but for the people of Dasol and for Dasol itself. I ran in order to have a “voice” to speak for the Dasolinians; in order that our town, Dasol be recognized in the province and nationwide, so to speak.
I believe, now, being the President of LMP and the representative of all Municipal Mayors of the province, it is more accessible for me to lobby our requests to the concerned agencies our projects that would certainly lead to the development and progress of our town.” Nacar said.
By this victory, Nacar brings pride not only for his hometown but for the whole First District of Pangasinan as well because for the first time in history that a Mayor from the west became no less than the PRESIDENT of the LMP. To our Beloved Mayor, Congratulations and Mabuhay from your LGU Family!
