"Salamat po, Meyor!"
It is now a tradition. Hon. NOEL A. NACAR, Municipal Mayor of Dasol, Pangasinan, provides set of school supplies to pupils of all public Elementary Schools in his municipality every time classes open in June which has been going on for three years now.
School children look forward to the opening of classes to meet old friends missed because of summer vacation. In Dasol, children are excited and expectant of school supplies that the good Mayor provides during school opening. For the Kindergarten and grade I to grade III pupils, bag with notebooks paper, pencil and crayons were given; while for grades IV to VI, notebooks and ballpen in a plastic envelope.
This good deed of Mayor Nacar does not only brings joy to school children but also a great help to parents who could hardly send their children to school because school supplies are no more a problem for them. All they can say is, “SALAMAT PO, MEYOR!”.
