Kasalang Bayan

Nineteen couples walked down the aisle and sealed their love by exchanging marriage vows on February 21, 2011. The “Kasalang Bayan Sa Dasol” was held at the rooftop of the new municipal building. It was solemnized by the Municipal Mayor, Hon. NOEL A. NACAR.

No less than the Provincial Statistics Officer of Pangasinan, Mr. Dante Pescador, was the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Before the wedding proper, a short symposium on marriage was held. The Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Genaro Meriño and Municipal Social Welfare Development Officer, Mrs. Marilou Cabudoy, talked on Family Planning and Responsible Parenthood.

During the wedding proper, the couples were called by pair and marched to their respective seats. Mayor Nacar made them exchange their vows and after which the couples sealed their vows with a loving kiss.

After the signing of the Certificates of Marriage, the couples enjoyed the ceremonial cutting of cake and wedding toast.

The LGU choir serenaded the couples with love songs.The couples who participated were: Felix Arizala & Aida Prado; Jayward Bernal & Mae Anne Maya; Jomar Boniel & Magdalena Sorio.

This activity was spearheaded by the Local Civil Registry Office headed by MCR Ma. Linda B. Chan with her staff, Jaime Mendoza, Meralgene Guiang and Vilma Japay. This is a part of the celebration of the Civil Registration Month. This year’s theme is “Civil Registration in Support of the National Development Goals.”
