Vice Mayor's Message
One vital factor to consider in achieving development in a locality whether social or economic is to have a file of basic data that will serves as basis and reference in making the most fitted development decision.
We emphasize, that this humble documents is not mere collection of informations, figures and raw data but of something that goes beyond statistics.
This document is an important reminder of our continuing effort in realizing progress in our municipality. It shows our significant gains in providing the most basic needs to our constituents.
With God’s help we pray to bring all of these dreams for Dasol to reality.
“Sulong DASOL, Ngayon NA!”
(Sgd.) NAPOLEON C. FONTELERA
Municipal Vice Mayor
Each municipality in the country has its own Law Making body known as the Municipal Council primarily presided by the Vice Mayor(Section 466 & 447 of LGU Code) whose main concern shall enact ordinances, approve resolutions and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the municipality and its people.
The municipality’s Sangguniang Bayan is driven to make Dasol a dynamic municipality where the general and special needs of its people are attended to with effective ordinances and diligent consideration of social order. Its members, all dedicated in local governance and service, work together in advancing objectives concerning the municipality’s economy and human development. And in the presence of vital and urgent concerns, the Sangguniang Bayan creates special committees to answer that particular concern’s need for focus and special action. |

Ten brilliant and committed councilors make up the Municipal Council and work hand-in-hand with the Vice Mayor in the Sangguniang Bayan. The joint energies, wisdom and inspiring dedication of both the young and old members of the Council, together with the leadership of the Municipal Mayor and Vice Mayor, harmonize well in local governance and public service.
The municipality is also blessed with a council and SB where voices of the men and women, the rich and less fortunate of the city are equally heard and given attention. Their offices are readily accessible to the public and the people’s concerns are carefully considered and deliberated upon by the many committees created to give the proper and immediate action to various issues presented by the city and its people.

Municipal Ordinances
Transparency and awareness is fostered in the Muncipality of Dasol. It believes that the people are entitled to know the laws that govern them and to keep track of changes so as to avoid misunderstandings. |
Proposed Ordinances
June 15, 1986 – November 17, 1986 OIC Mayor Manuel R.M. Bunao
November 18, 1986 – 1992 Mayor Ludovico R. Espinoza
Crisis in political leadership characterized this period. After the EDSA Revolution, massive attempt to replace incumbent local government officials was undertaken by the administration of President Corazon C. Aquino. In Dasol, the appointment of Manuel R.M. Bunao as OIC, Mayor was signed by the Local Government Deputy Minister Douglas R. Cagas on June 11, 1986. Bunao tried to assume his post but marred by massive resistance from the camp of Mayor Ludovico R. Espinoza, who filed a protest being the lone UNIDO Mayor of western Pangasinan. Pending the result of the protest, there were then two factions in the political leadership. Both exercised executive powers.
On November 17, 1986, President Corazon C. Aquino personally signed all appointments of local government officials. Mayor Ludovico Espinoza was appointed OIC Mayor on a hold-over capacity until his re-election in 1988. |
