Waterworld

            Tourism is a potential industry in the Municipality of Dasol. It has various tourist potentials owing to its geographical locations with the presence of Dasol Bay along the contours of China Sea.

            Along the coastal lines are various beach resorts which are mostly semi developed and some are potential for development particularly located in Osmeña and Tambobong.

            Aside form the attractive beaches, the locality has the following undeveloped natural scenic spots.
 
  • Islands
    • Colibra Island
      Colibra Island, this located in Barangay Tambobong. It is hilly and covered with sanctuary of the locally named “tugase” which are now considered endangered species.
    • Crocodile Island
      Crocodile Island, as its name suggests, this island from a farther view appears likes crocodile. It is located near the tip of barangay Tambobong and characterized by it’s wide plateau. From its rear end facing the South china Sea is a scenic cave and beach teemed with various seashells.
    • White Sand
      Balas Island, This is a mound of white sand around 200 sq. m. devoid of trees and plants. Its 45 minutes ride from Brgy. Eguia. It is characterized by clean and cool water suited for swimming, snorkeling, diving and other recreational activities.

  • Caves
    Caves, there are many caves in Dasol which serves sanctuary of bats and still rich stalactites and stalagmites, thses are located in Amalbalan, Tambac, Petal, Osmeña and Macalang (Magunao and Ilang Caves). These are still unexplored and undeveloped with poor accessibility. Magunao AND Ilang Caves are witnin the proposed Dasol Natural Landmark. These caves that are still potential site of El Nido Nest.

  • Falls & Watershed
    These are located in Salabusuban, Barangay Bobonot, Barangay Eguia, Barangay San Vicente, Tambac and Viga.

  • Archeological Sites
    The Spanish cemetery at the back of the Cristobal Ancestral House in Poblacion.

  • Other Tourism Potentials
    • Migratory birds along the mangrove area (patalan) Sabangan, Malacapas
    • Mining Tunnels at Sitio Millsite, San Vicente (left behind by Acoje Mining Inc.)
    • Existence of native pigs and wildlife in Barangay Viga.
    • Remarkable presence of great number of carabaos in Barangay Uli.

  • Eco-Tourism
    • Ecotourism park at MAJENT AGRO
    • Seaweed culture in barangay Osmeña
    • Salt beds in Barangays Bobonot, Hermosa and Amalbalan.
    • Mangrove Project in Barangay Amalbalan
    • Statue of Virgin Mary in a former military camp at Barangay Petal.
